Lonely Is

I wrote this one quite a while ago. It was on the Noble Roots release but I decided to put it on the new release as well with a slightly different approach. The “hook” for this was inspired by the famous line in the movie, Forrest Gump. “Stupid is as Stupid does” paraphrased as “Lonely is as Lonely does”. I carried that idea for a while and nothing else would come to me. Finally one night as I lay down to sleep…. all the verses materialized out of thin air. I jumped up and wrote ’em down.

This one has a guest appearance by my good friend David Harvey playing mandola. Also on this one are Rod Schindler on accordion and banjo, Aaron Ransdell on bass and Melinda on harmony. For the guitar nerds; I’m playing my beloved old ’60 Martin D21 on this track
